This event is free to the public and family-friendly!
For the seventh consecutive year, Austin’s World Refugee Day celebration will take place at the Bullock Texas State History Museum. The event is coordinated by the Austin Refugee Roundtable (austinrefugees.org). The celebration starts with a naturalization ceremony for refugees who have become eligible for U.S. citizenship, which takes place in the museum’s Spirit Theater. Throughout the rest of the event, there are activities for all ages including learning about the refugee journey, international music and entertainment, a photo booth, and delicious food provided by Rosemary’s Catering.
